Join Clare Kritter of Hedge Meadow Herbs and Mandy Cullen of Gather + Connect in Clare’s garden for an evening of connecting with Mugwort and the summer solstice. We’ll take time to settle in, reflect, and set intentions for working with the potent, growing energy of summer. Mandy will lead us through a traditional tea sit with Mugwort, and Clare will share additional information about Mugwort, including its medicinal uses and rich history of folk and magical uses. We’ll then make our own Mugwort burn bundles and charms. Participants will leave with whatever they craft for themselves, as well as a bottle of Mugwort flower essence made right here in the garden.

Location:

The class will be held at Clare’s home, about ten minutes from Black Earth, Wisconsin. The exact location will be sent prior to class.

What to Expect/Bring:

• We will be meeting outside so please dress appropriately for the weather. We will try to sit in the shade but the sun may be unavoidable.

• We will provide bug spray but please feel free to bring your own (same with sunscreen). And speaking of bugs, there are a lot of bees that like to visit the garden.

• We will be sitting on cushions on the ground. There are a few chairs available upon request, but please feel free to bring a camp chair or other chair if that’s better for you.

• Please bring whatever snacks you need, as well as a water bottle. You are encouraged to take care of your needs throughout class.

• Please bring a journal and pen.

Accessibility:

We will be meeting outside and you will be expected to walk on slightly sloped, uneven ground to attend. You are welcome to use the bathroom or fill up your water bottle inside the house, but please note that you must go up several stairs to get inside.
