On the full moon in Taurus, join us for an evening of seed sharing and altar building, rooted in gratitude and grief. Through these practices, we will reflect on the joys and sorrows of the past seasons, release what is ready to be composted, and sow intentions for the coming winter and spring. Seeds, seed packets, writing and drawing materials and prompts, and a community altar place will be our foundation. Please bring an item or items you would like to contribute to an altar* as well as any seeds that you would like to share. We will hold space to share brief reflections and insights in community, but you may participate in whatever way feels comfortable.
*Please note, items placed on the altar are gifts to spirit and will not be returned. We will release the items (to the earth or in fire) on the last new moon of the year.
About the Teacher:
Lesley Anne Numbers is an artist, educator, mother and earth-tender, born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin on ancestral Ho-Chunk land. Her art practice is rooted in a sense of spirit, curiosity and love, and her imagery is inspired by daily walks with her dogs, our local biome, music, poetry, magical thinking, and dreams. Lesley’s hand drawn serigraphs, reductive woodblock prints and botanical ink drawings explore the beauty, wonder, joy and grief of our living and dying world.
