Practical Magic Days

October 13th-15th in Mazomanie, Wisconsin

Three days of plant-centered classes and workshops + an unofficial celebration of the 25 year anniversary of the release of the movie Practical Magic!

Practical Magic Days celebrates the many ways of being in relationship with plants ~ from the practical to the magical. Join us for three days of seasonally-placed classes to kickoff what we hope will be many years of coming together in community to learn about plants: how to work with them, their histories, folklore, and more. Scheduled just two weeks before Halloween (also known as Samhain), this weekend is all about sensing beyond what we already know about plants and honoring the multidimensional nature of the living world.

We have an amazing lineup of teachers offering up a wide range of educational experiences. From creative plant practices to seasonal wellness, natural dyes to esoteric herbs, plant walks to animistic folkways ~ there’s something for just about everyone. In addition to classes, Saturday night we’ll convene around the bonfire for a casual community gathering + Practical Magic viewing party, complete with sauna sessions, pumpkin carving, tarot readings, and more.

See below for the full schedule!

7:00-9:00 pm Ghosts Love Old Things: An Evening of Altar Building & Spirited Stories with Lesley Anne Numbers

Saturday, October 14th (and the new moon in Libra)

Given the very stormy weather moving through the area, we made the difficult decision to cancel the Saturday afternoon Medicinal Plant Walk. As a result, the Saturday schedule has been slightly altered and the day now begins at 12pm. We're so sorry for any inconvenience this causes you! Please see below for the updated schedule.
